New school year 2020-2021: Welcome Back! What a strange time the last few months has been, but we are delighted to be back and ready for action again! We extend a very special welcome to our new Junior Infant children. We are looking forward to getting to know you all over the next year!

Green Schools News: Congratulations to the school community on the renewal of our 9th Green Flag! Well done to everybody for all the hard work that was undertaken to achieve this. A special thank you to Mrs Churchill, Mrs Dolan, Mr Whearty and the Green Team for their leadership.


Child Protection: All staff members have completed the Child Safeguarding Risk Assessment as per Child Protection guidelines. Copies of same are available from the office if requested.


Fit for Fun/Drama: We are delighted that Coach Ciarán and Jaymie will be back this year for Fit for Fun and Drama. Each year group will avail of lessons at different stages throughout the year.


GAA Training: The children will continue with GAA training this year. Fourth and Fifth Class will start off with training each Tuesday up until the midterm.


School Calendars 2020: It is hoped to keep our tradition of the school calendars going. Class teachers will take individual photos of each child and a montage will be created. Further updates will be given on when they will be available.


St. Laurence's Gate Visit: The Fifth Classes recently enjoyed a visit to see St. Laurence's Gate. Check out the wonderful St. Laurence's Gate models that they created on our Photos page!


Maths Week: This week is Maths Week. The aim is to have fun with numbers and to use our "maths eyes". There are some great Maths activities planned throughout the week both in the classrooms and around the school grounds! Check out www.mathsweek.ie for some Maths activities that you could try at home.


Golden Assembly: Keeping with our tradition of Golden Assemblies, we had our very first Zoom Golden Assembly on Wednesday 21st October. Well done to the Fifth Classes for organising and hosting this. Also well done to all of those who won certificates! Our next virtual Golden Assembly will be organised by Fourth Class.


Dress up Day: On Friday 23rd October the children wore their Halloween costumes to school in aid of Temple Street Hospital. We are delighted to announce that a total of €684.80 was raised on the day. Well done everybody!


Science Week: The boys and girls participated in lots of activities for Science Week 2020. Check out our photos page to see what some of the classes got up to.


Christmas Raffle: Unfortunately our annual Christmas Coffee morning cannot go ahead this year. However, our Parents' Association are still organising a Christmas raffle. Raffle tickets have been sent home and we would be most grateful for your support.


Christmas Jumper Day: Our Christmas Jumper Day will take place on December 17th in aid of Crumlin Childrens' Hospital.


Christmas Decoration Competition: Each year we hold a competition to make a decoration from recyclable materials and each year the children surpass themselves with their wonderful creations! This year's closing date for decorations is December 11th. Please do not send the decoration into school this year but send a photo via ClassDojo.


Christmas Door Competition: Well done to all classes on their wonderful Christmas door creations! The standard was unreal but unfortunately there could only be two winners in each building. The winning classes were Ms. A Kennedy, Ms, Mc Kenna, Ms. Devine and Ms O'Hagan. You can view a slideshow of all doors on our Facebook page. Well done everybody!



Christmas Hampers: Thank you so much to everyone who donated to our Christmas Hamper appeal. The hampers will be donated to local charities. A special thank you to the Second Class teachers who organised this.
